The Teachers

Sri_T_K_V_Desikachar will also participate in  this homage that these two teachers offer to their teacher, Krishnamacharya.

The weekend event from 14th - 16th November 2003, The Rainbow of Yoga, will showcase the living legacy of Sri T Krishnamacharya. One of the greatest contributions of his teaching has been the extraordinary array of yoga tools that he utilized to help people in different situations. This weekend conference led by Kausthub Desikachar and his students will present this rainbow of yoga. TKV Desikachar will be part of this event as well, which will be inaugurated by Sri Pattabhi Jois.

In addition, a special photo exhibition of T Krishnamacharya will be organized as part of the festival. This will feature several rare pictures of Sri T Krishnamacharya which highlight the many dimensions of this great master. The exhibition will also showcase pictures of some of his important students.

Blessings from Sri BKS Iyengar

It was our original intention to have Sri Pattabhi Jois, Sri BKS Iyengar, and Sri TKV Desikachar to come together and teach at this great event. Owing to his reduced travel commitments Sri BKS Iyengar declined to participate, but blessed the event with a lovely note where he says "All the credit of the work of yoga done by the students of T Krishnamacharya, goes to him with merit " and adds that "All my good wishes for the success of the function are with you."
